A Portable Healthy Frozen Snack?
SliceCream is a single serving high protein supplement that will change that way busy modern folks think about nutritional supplement. You can grab one on the go, enjoy its great taste, without feeling the sin of eating fattening ice cream. If you give it a try, you will find it a transforming experience. All the anti-oxidants, pre-biotic, and vitamins in SliceCream certainly do not hurt, either.

I gained alot of weight after I had kids...I am finally trying to do something about it but I am addicted to Ben and Jerry's! I was thinking that maybe I could slowly cut down on the ben and jerry's and ease into SliceCream. Do you think SliceCream will be good for my diet to kill the cravings?
ReplyDeletehi Jen,
ReplyDeleteFirst, congrats on doing something about losing the extra weight you have gained over the years! Just thinking about losing a little weight is the first step to feeling and looking better..not to mention improving you health as you get older.
well, to specifically answer your question, I think we've all been addicted to Ben and Jerry's at some point! (I know for a fact that years ago Dr. Joe and I use to eat a pint a night!!) However, ice cream like Ben and Jerry's tastes so good for a reason. Think about it...it's basically frozen cream so the majority of the flavors/varieties have a lot of calories and are full of fat and sugar.
Here is a couple of links that are useful to look over next time you want to indulge in Ben and Jerry's.

http://www.thedailyplate.com/nutrition-calories/food/ben-26-jerrys
The first link grades each flavor based on calories and the second link just states the nutritional information of al the flavors/varieties. The calorie count is HUGE!!! It may look fairly reasonable at first but keep in mind the portion size is 1/2 a cup! thats like 3 bites! To translate this into something you can sink your teeth into (no pun intended :-) 1 cup of many of the flavors=600 calories, 20-40 grams of fat, 50-100 carbs with lots of sugar!!!
For each cup of this ice cream you would have to spend up to 2-4 hours on the treadmill just to burn them off! Yikes!!!
For comparison, for about 1/2 cup SliceCream is approx 130 calories, Fat Free, Cholesterol Free, and has about 10 grams of sugar. Importantly, the majority of the calories are pure protein calories which means they go to muscle development and are not stored in fat cells if not used.
Also, SliceCream is great for your cravings because research has shown that protein, rather than sugar, makes you feel full and lasts longer! So, yes, eating SliceCream can help your cravings and can fill you up!
Hope this answers your question!
Stay motivated!
